Let’s Celebrate World Book Day

23rd February 2018

On Friday 2 March Stormont House School will be celebrating ‘World Book Day’, all of the students and staff will take part in an assembly organised by Ms McKell and the English Department. World Book Day is an annual event which celebrates authors, illustrators and reading - students from all over the UK will be dressing as their favourite characters.

Our assembly will include a presentation where students are dressed as a character from their favourite book - please support your child to find, borrow or create a costume for this wonderful event.

For costume ideas you may like to visit the World Book Day website:

www.worldbookday.com/dressing-up/

Students must either bring in their uniform to change back into or stay in their costume all day. If your child is not wearing a costume they must wear their school uniform.

On Friday 2 March each student will receive a £1 book token which they can swap for

one of TEN (exclusive, new and completely FREE) World Book Day books. Or, if they prefer, they can use the book token to get £1 off any full price book. The World Book Day book tokens are valid from Monday 26 February–Sunday 25 March 2018
