Congratulations to Brett - A Corporal in The St John’s Ambulance Cadets

20th April 2018

Over the Easter break Brett from Year 11 achieved the rank of Corporal in the St John’s Ambulance Cadets. Included is a picture of Brett at the celebration event for this great achievement.

Young people aged 10–17 can join one of the Cadet units that operate all over England. The units are a great way for teens and young people to take part in volunteering programmes and they are given the opportunity to learn valuable life skills that they will take with them thoughout their lives.

As a cadet you get the opportunity to:

  • learn first aid skills
  • volunteer within the community providing first aid cover at public events, such as football matches and music festivals
  • learn leadership and public speaking skills by teaching first aid to other young people
  • spend time on weekend residential camps packed with activities, and have the opportunity to compete in international first aid competitions.

Well Done Brett for such a fantastic achievement.
