Lily (Year 12) had terrific success in the Special Olympics Great Britain National Summer Games in Sheffield. The event took place over 4 days from 7-12 August. This competition is the country’s largest multi-sports event for young athletes with disabilities in 2017. Approximately 2,600 athletes of all ages and abilities from all over the country took part in this amazing event.

Lily took part in the Ladies Tennis Singles, she narrowly missed out on the gold position, losing to one of her closest rivals. In the Mixed Doubles competition Lily also achieved a silver medal playing alongside her tennis partner Jonathon. These are outstanding achievements; well done Lily!
