London Disability Athletics Competition

On Friday 6 November a team of students from Stormont House School took part in the London Disability Athletics at Lea Valley Athletics Centre. The event was attended by a number of athletes from across London, some of our students were competing in the competition for young adults between the ages of 17 - 25. They all performed very well and tried their best. Our team was made up of the following pupils: Kevin (Yr10), Shaniece (Yr 10), Tekia (Yr10), Noreen (Yr 9), Lesny (Yr8), Victoria (Yr 9), Lorell (Yr11), Zoe (Yr11), Shaquille (Yr 12), Warren (Yr12), Jamie (Yr12) and Aaron B (Yr9). The pupils that won medals included:Shaniece: 60m sprint gold, 200m gold and long jump gold, Tekia: shot put – silver, 60m bronze, 200m silver,Lesny: silver long jump,Victoria: 60m silver,Lorell: shot put bronze, Shaquille: long jump silver, 200m bronze and Aaron B: shot-bronze, 200m-bronze.
