Enterprise

The Enterprise Project is part of the BTEC Workskills course. Students develop the entrepreneurial skills, techniques and attributes essential for success in working life.

The Enterprise Project covers three units:

  • Planning an Enterprise Project: Students develop the ability to identify roles, skills, costs, production and ways to promote their chosen product or service.

  • Producing a Product: Students develop an understanding of how to produce a product. They develop the ability to recognise all the stages and important elements of producing a quality product safely. They then have to access and evaluate the finished item.

  • Running an Enterprise Project: Students learn what is involved in running a successful enterprise and get to put in to practice. They learn how to keep records of what they spend, amounts they receive and what profit is made.

For each unit students are given an assignment brief with a scenario related to the real working world.
