Stratford Waterfront Schools Challenge

22nd June 2018

DJ, Janai, Adrian, Arjun, Tallulah from 8C were shortlisted in the Stratford Waterfront Design Challenge Competition. On Tuesday 19 June the finalists, who were selected out of 36 entries from schools across London were invited to the Olympic Park to present their ideas to a panel of judges. The Stormont House team put forward an idea for a water fountain shaped like a giant flower, they felt that their design would brighten up the waterfront in the Olympic park. The team all made a fantastic effort in their presentation and had a great day which included activities led by the Victoria and Albert Museum, they even got the chance to go on the Arcelor Mittal Orbit! It was super-fast and quite scary, Arjun and Mr Buraimoh loved it so much they went back up for another turn! The team were presented with a beautiful finalist’s trophy for their entry, they all really enjoyed every moment of the event.
