Year 7

In RE, students learn about the need to be respectful of each other and their religions, and to recognise that people have the right to hold different beliefs to themselves.

They learn how to employ a sensitive approach when enquiring about faiths. They find out how and where people practise their faiths, the symbolism and artefacts associated with the faith, and how following a religion can reflect on people’s daily lives and behaviour. During this work, students study Judaism, Christianity and Islam. They hear stories from the Torah, Bible and Qur’an. At the end of the spring term the students perform the Easter play about the Crucifixion.
