Royal Observatory Greenwich – 9B Discover Their Place in the Universe

24th March 2016

On Tuesday 15 March, 9B visited the Royal Observatory at Greenwich. They have been learning about international time zones and how the Earth is divided into longitude and latitude lines. They also learned about the different climate zones across the world and that the Meridian Line (0 degree line) starts at Greenwich. They all stood on the line. The class also attended a very interesting talk about the Earth and its neighbours in the solar system, and were able to answer many questions.  9B had a great time and all said they would love to visit again as they did not have enough time to visit all the sites.
