A Christmas Extravaganza

On Tuesday 20 December staff, students and guests thoroughly enjoyed the annual Christmas lunch at Stormont House. The celebration started at 12.30 when the kitchen staff started to serve up a wonderful lunch which included: Roast Turkey / Roast Pork / Smoked Ham / Vegetarian Spinach Pie and Mushroom Pie, accompanied by Pigs in blankets / Roast Potatoes with Thyme / Honey Roasted Parsnips / Brussel Sprouts / Red Cabbage / Carrots and Gravy. If this wasn’t enough there was dessert to follow: Christmas Pudding / Blackforest Gateau / Strawberry Cheesecake and Mince pies all served with custard.
The lunch was followed by the surprise disco where many of the students and staff danced away to the latest tracks from the charts, some children decided they needed a more leisurely activity so they headed for the CODE room to play X-Box games and some decided they needed to run off some of the calories they had eaten by playing cricket. A good time was had by all.
