Course Information

Stormont House Year 12 curriculum is shared with partner colleges and providers who offer our students part time accredited BTEC or City & Guilds Vocational courses. Students get to continue to study Functional Skills English and Maths, Functional Skills ICT or a BTEC Computing qualification and a BTEC Workskills in school.

The curriculum also includes work based learning in the form of an enterprise project with units covered to support the BTEC workskills qualification. We have various enrichment programmes such as a 6 week healthy eating programme called Healthy Bodies/Healthy Minds: in the spring and summer terms a 1 day a week supported work placement and a 6 week Skills for Life programme to equip pupils with knowledge of what assistance is available to them.

Students get to choose from a number of vocational options from our delivery partners which include Hackney Community College, BSix Sixth Form College, Building Lives Academy and Hackney City Farm. This part of the Year 12 curriculum occupies 2 full days at one of these providers.
