Coding Success - Computer Science Week

15th December 2017

Stormont House students celebrated Computer Science week by taking part in the ‘Hour of Code’ during their Computing lessons. The Hour of Code is a world-wide organisation with the aim of giving all students the opportunity to experience creative computational skills and help spread the important message that coding is accessible to all.

Nearly all the students completed an online programming course and received certificates for their hard work

Eight lucky students who made the most progress where also selected to receive a tiny programmable computer, ‘The BBC Micro Bit’, to keep and pursue their learning at home. The school will be making more of these available to students who continue to show an interest in programming.
