Access All Areas - Drama in the Community

‘Access All Areas’ is an award winning theatre company for adults and young people with learning disabilities that is based in Hackney. Eight students from Stormont House School have been selected to take part in 5 workshops that will take place in school over the next 4 weeks. The students have the opportunity to work with Cian Binchy – who is a young actor with autism.  Cian is the main character in a play called ‘The Misfit Analysis’ - the play is centred on a captivating exploration through an autistic mind, Cian playfully questions disability’s place in society today. Cian took the play to the Edinburgh Festival and has also appeared on BBC 1 , Cian helped with the research for the play ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’. ‘The Misfit Analysis’ is a part of the VAULT Festival 2016 which runs from 2 - 6 March 2016. Jamie, Adam, Jordan (Year 12) and Zoe, Tommy, Timothy, Ryan and Michael (Year 11) all went to see the dress rehearsal for the first performance on Wednesday 2 March.
